What DeadByAI does
The free scan breaks an occupation into tasks and estimates where AI pressure may appear first. Paid reports turn that scan into a profession-specific action plan, with different depth at each tier.

- Complete adds the full task matrix and a 30/60/90-day plan.
- Pivot adds two adjacent-path comparisons and a transition roadmap.
Where the occupation evidence comes from
Occupation titles and task evidence are grounded in the O*NET® 30.3 Database from the U.S. Department of Labor. DeadByAI applies its own heuristic scoring and planning guidance to that information. The U.S. Department of Labor has not approved, endorsed, or tested those modifications.
What the score cannot promise
A risk score is planning guidance, not a forecast of an individual layoff, salary, hiring decision, or career outcome. Job design, regulation, employer choices, local labor markets, and actual tool adoption all matter. The useful question is not whether one date is certain; it is which parts of the work deserve attention now.

Why I built DeadByAI

The story of DeadByAI came about while I was brainstorming some projects to vibe code. Knowing that the job markets were going to shift dramatically in the near future, I wanted to gain some experience in both building AI-assisted applications and delving into what is possible and what solutions these tools can provide for us humans. What better way to get your hands dirty than by jumping right in?
I started by using OpenClaw as my assistant, with Claude Opus as the model, but then switched over to OpenAI Codex. The tool really helps with keeping context over the long run. It's been an interesting journey so far.
As I started digging into this world of “where are we going next?” I started thinking about how these changes will affect other industries, beyond just the areas of architecture and software engineering where I've contributed the majority of my life so far. I'm personally worried about the future of my career, and I'm sure others are as well.
